Hey there, I’m Sam and I’m a game designer. I have an official portfolio for my prior and shinier works, but this is my developer blog where I talk more casually about what I’m currently working, learning, or toying around with as an idea.
I really enjoy worldbuilding, and most of my design roots itself in that philosophy. Even in games that have no concrete narrative, I always create world rules and lore to help myself in designing for an experience that has weight and some degree of immersive consequence. In my mind, every mechanic must serve a narrative purpose one way or another.
